16.00 Registration; 16.30 Start; 18.00 Drinks Reception; 19.30 Close
The Law Reform lecture is open to members and non-members alike.
This year’s lecture focuses upon the nature of dispute resolution in compulsory purchase and will cover:
• The undesirably adversarial character of resolution of compensation claims
• Relevant expertise of advisers and the need for accreditation
• Proposals for a pre-reference protocol for compulsory purchase compensation claims
• Formalised steps in negotiations and potential penalties for non-compliance
We are delighted that Adrian Maher, Head of Operational Property at TfL and Meyric Lewis, CPA Chair and Barrister at Francis Taylor Building, will review the above topics. The debate will be chaired by Richard Guyatt, CPA Vice Chair and Partner at Bond Dickinson.
The formalities will conclude with drinks and canapés.
