Property consultancy specialising in Compulsory Purchase Barnet, North London Newly qualified Chartered Surveyors to Associate Director level: £40,000 to £65,000 p/a + bonus
The number of Council estates being regenerated is on the rise. There is a consensus between the public and private sectors that more needs to be done to meet the housing shortage, particularly in London and surrounding areas.
Sawyer Fielding have filled a growing gap in the market, representing home owners and Landlords on estate renewal schemes. We advise on all stages of the CPO process, negotiating sales, scheme concessions and providing guidance on issues such as subsidised housing made available by the scheme promoters. We provide a complete and professional service helping homeowners affected by compulsory purchase, from inception to completion.
Housing estate regeneration is increasingly in the news. Sink estates are being transformed into attractive areas of modern apartments and improved public open space and community facilities. Meanwhile, a new wave of housing activists question financial viability reports that reduce provision of social housing and complain of social cleansing. Regardless of the rights and the wrongs, one thing is certain. Housing estate regeneration is a divisive and fascinating area to work in.
We are experiencing huge growth and have a strong client base with 287 properties either currently under negotiation or awaiting their first offer. We believe we are the market leaders in this niche and very rewarding area of work.
We are looking for two Chartered Surveyors to join our team, based in North London, primarily but not exclusively working on residential claims. The successful applicants will work with a high degree of autonomy, maintain significant levels of client contact and will have an opportunity to help shape the direction of the company.
The roles that we are recruiting for are different to most CPO Surveyor positions. For the right people, the roles represent a particularly exciting and highly rewarding challenge. If you’re interested, e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange an initial discussion.
