Role description
We are currently looking for talented people to join our Compulsory Purchase Advisory team.
Our Compulsory Purchase Advisory team is recognised as being one of the country’s most experienced advisors on land assembly, compulsory purchase and compensation matters. The team has extensive experience advising acquiring authorities, developers and claimants involved in regeneration, transport and energy schemes requiring land assembly.  The team is based in our Head Office in London and works closely with our wider Planning & Development team to provide a full range of land acquisition, compulsory purchase and pre-development consultancy advice. Operating throughout the UK and advising on large, high profile projects such as the London 2012 Olympics, CrossRail, HS2 and major central area schemes in Belfast, Croydon, Southampton, Coventry and Preston we have a strong client base and are growing as a result of the exciting opportunities from wider Deloitte business.

Location
You Could be based in our offices in London, Birmingham or Manchester, however travel to projects across the UK may be required.

Hours
This is a full time and permanent role. We do encourage careful consideration of agile ways of working, both formal and informal arrangements that allow for the best outcomes for our people and our clients. Responsibilities
  • Developing relationships with our clients
  • Preparing estimates of compensation and cash flow modelling
  • Negotiating claims for compensation
  • Assisting in the preparation of evidence for third party referrals
  • Providing procedural advice to acquiring authorities and developers
  • Providing advice to Local Authorities on delivery of major regeneration schemes
  • Working effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution

Requirements
To be considered you’ll need the following:
  • Relevant compulsory purchase experience and direct client contact experience
  • MRICS qualified (or equivalent) preferred with a degree and/or a relevant post graduate qualification
  • Able to act independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Proficient user of Excel, Argus
