Acquiring the Land and Property Rights to Deliver the Green Agenda - Opportunity and Challenge for the Utility Sector
- What can the various regimes learn from each other?
- Are land acquisition powers sufficient for infrastructure delivery
Infrastructure is a core focus for the UK (and devolved) Governments. Their aim - the delivery of a 21st century utilities response that embraces net zero.
- Does the utilities sector have all of the necessary compulsory acquisition tools required for infrastructure delivery?
- The telecom industry has been given bespoke powers to enable delivery. How effective has that been to satisfying their delivery targets?
- What are the key pressures and future objectives for the water and electricity sectors? How do they meet the challenges arising from addressing Net Zero obligations?
The aim of the stakeholder meeting is to build understanding of the key pressures/future objectives for the various utility sectors including those arising from addressing Net Zero obligations and whether they feel land acquisition powers are fit for purpose to deliver infrastructure and the governments agenda
At this stakeholder event we would like to canvass views and along with a QA session we will hear from:
