Tony Johnson Memorial Lecture Programme:

The world of compulsory purchase is on the cusp of significant reform. We are eagerly awaiting the outcome of the Commission’s work. Along with the report, there will be a draft Bill (or Bills) that will both reform and facilitate reform and we look forward to seeing the shape it will take. Law Commission Bills are one way in which reforms emerge, but what is the process, how much scrutiny or challenge do such Bills receive? Are there other mechanisms for effecting reform? How will the Bill fit in in the wider context?

The CPA is delighted that David Mundy, CPA member, Partner and Parliamentary Agent at Broadfield Law will give this year’s Tony Johnson Memorial Lecture, explaining the ways reforms can emerge, evolve and ultimately reach the statute book.

Speaker:
David Mundy, Broadfield Law UK LLP
